Vanessa Hurley

Founder and President

Hello! My name is Vanessa Hurley, the Founder & President of Be Fed Foundation. I grew up close to the Boston, MA area & have known from a young age I was here to serve, having a huge humanitarian heart. I started this nonprofit in hopes to be apart of ending world hunger & serving God's people. Our community Garden Project is our main focus towards harvesting and shipping produce to local food banks in hopes to decrease the stress of where the next meal is coming from.

                 Welcome to our foundation!

Alexa Weber

Event Planner

Hi everyone! My name is Alexa Weber and I am from South Windsor, CT. Since a young age, I have always had a place in my heart for helping others who need another chance. Growing up just outside of Hartford, I have had the opportunity to volunteer in less fortunate areas and I constantly strive to take the wonderful things I have been given to give back to the community. I am incredibly humbled to be apart of Be Fed Foundation and to help grow this nonprofit into something that truly impacts the homeless community and those with food insecurity.

Nicole Ertel

Operations Advisor

Hello, my name is Nicole Ertel, and I am passionate about fighting food insecurity in Massachusetts. I joined the Be Fed Foundation in 2024 because I believe in its mission to end hunger and make a lasting impact in our communities.

The foundation’s hands-on approach to addressing food insecurity aligns with my commitment to creating meaningful change. Through my involvement, I hope to help expand the foundation’s reach by increasing the variety of produce grown and exploring new opportunities. My goal is to contribute to the foundation’s long-term vision of establishing multiple community gardens
